Hey, I'm Tom. This project started as an experiment—repurposing old lenses, exploring alternative photography, and making things by hand. Every step of the way, I share behind the scenes, ideas, and small victories. If you enjoy what I create and want to see where it goes next, you can support the journey here. No big promises, just more experiments, more ideas, and more ways to see the world differently.

I wanted to make a lens I could craft at home, by myself — so of course, it had to be 3D printed. But I didn’t want it to look 3D printed. It should feel like a real lens. You really have to get close to notice the layers.
I’m grateful for everyone who uses the Monocle Lens, and for every inventor who decides to think differently or make a tool their own by adding their twist. I believe everyone is a storyteller, and I want to support anyone who chooses to share their story. That’s what makes tools special — they help bring those stories to life.
“Monocle Lens started as a simple idea—to give disposable cameras a second life. A year later, it has become meaningful work and a growing community of people who share photos taken with Monocle Lens every day. I’m truly grateful for everyone who is part of it.”
